Campaign Story
Relative Theatrics has been bringing Risky, Relevant, Real theatre to the Laramie community since 2013. As we head into our 5th year of plays in 2017/18 we will continue to present thought-provoking theatre that examines the joining qualities of the human race. We are proud to take artistic risk, providing a community gathering place where thoughts can be exchanged about society, culture, and the power of creativity.
Theatre is an intensely collaborative art and you get to be a part of it. Your generous contribution allows us to tell these important stories with integrity and professionalism.
Our 5th season, 'Generations to Come,' takes a glimpse into the future with dynamic plays that tell stories of arts education in an inner-city high school, a biracial Mother-Daughter duo that heal their wounds on a cross-country road trip to Yellowstone, online identity and legal issues in the technological age, and modes of educating, raising, and constraining wild beings in the Montana wilderness. Additionally, our selection of plays for 'Generations to Come' reflects a desire to push for diversity and gender parity in the theatrical landscape of our time by selecting a line-up of plays authored by women and playwrights of color.
And we need your help!
While earned income like revenue from ticket sales and government funding assists with our yearly expenditures, we rely on support from individuals like you cover the gap. Our annual budget includes production costs, advertising and marketing expenses, artist compensation, operational expenditures like rent for our studio space in the Laramie Plains Civic Center and office supplies, and much more. With this campaign, we are raising money to cover the production costs for our upcoming season. Your donation helps us obtain performance rights for licensing royalties, rent the performance venue, and create the world of the plays with creatively designed sets, props, costumes, sound, and lights.
Please help us out by spreading the word and giving what you’re able. Whether you have $5 or $500, your generous contribution helps us meet our goal and enables us to produce high quality, engaging theatre in Laramie. Let’s head into the Generations to Come together.
Thank YOU for supporting risky, relevant, real theatre in Laramie!

Let's Find Out What 6 Days Can Do
Creating Art is No Small Feat
There is a role for everyone – the artists that sculpt the piece, the advisors that guide the direction, the curators who give art a home, and the supporters who ensure that the creation will be seen and valued. Thank you for being a member of this community.
We have less than a week until our campaign closes and the amount of support and well-wishes has been overwhelming. It begs the question, what more is possible? What if everyone banded together for a final push to enhance the exposure of our campaign and reach the outer networks in this communal effort? With rewards still up for grabs and our first production right around the corner, this is an exciting time to be a part of our Local Crowd Campaign and the Relative Theatrics family.
Please help us out however you are able by spreading the word and giving what you can. Even the most modest of contributions makes a huge difference. And we hope to see you in the audience to see these funds at work for the Wyoming Premiere of NO CHILD… by Nilaja Sun, running August 31st through September 9th!
